Here are a few things to keep in mind when it comes to making learning fun and engaging:

• Make learning personal. Find resources that tailor to your interests. Whether you’re looking for articles, videos, or podcasts, make sure the content is relevant and important to you.
• Make it balanced. There are always two (and sometimes three) sides to every story, issue, idea, and belief. So do not be afraid to look for other views on the same topic and get a wide range of thoughts from several different places. Social media is not the best place to get balanced ideas, so look for experts who disagree, and then you will be able to think about an issue and discuss it with others.
• Always be curious. When you find something new that piques your interest, explore it further. There’s no such thing as too much information. But there is such a thing as right and wrong information and so always be willing to dig deeper to find what is true.
• Get creative. Don’t be afraid to try different methods of learning. If you’re a visual learner, try watching educational videos or looking at infographics. Or, if you prefer hands-on learning, find online tutorials or take an online course. Look it up, watch a video, or listen to a podcast if you think of a question. There is so much to learn, and with the internet, we can not only answer questions, but we can learn deeply about anything.
• Practice being patient (especially with yourself). Learning takes time, so be patient with yourself and don’t get discouraged if you don’t understand something right away. Just keep at it, and you’ll eventually get all of the information you need. Also, be sure to share the things that you learn with others. Studies have shown that you remember it longer by talking about what you learn, and you understand it even better than if you never talk about it.
